Coaldale Colorado is a tiny community inhabited by 374 lucky people. The home is a "bedroom" community for Salida Colorado, 18 miles northwest along the Arkansas River. Coaldale is in the Arkansas River Valley, spanning both sides of the river. On the east side, the community is rimmed by BLM (state public land) with golden cliffs and rocks as vistas. On the west side of the river, the Sangre de Cristo mountain range soars up like mini Swiss Alps.
In between lies an idyllic valley, lush, quiet and beautiful. Coaldale attracts ranchers, gardeners, artists and folks who don't want the hustle and bustle of our thriving metropolis -- Salida with 9610 people!
